With Middle-Earth: Shadow of War just a few weeks away from release, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is hyping up the release like crazy – and it's just taken a humongous step that fans of Lord of the Rings won't want to miss.

The publisher has released a new live-action trailer featuring some terrific special effects, as well as a glimpse of characters that are featured in the game. But where the interactive element comes into play is with decision-making, similar with what Shadow of War will offer in itself.

By the end of the trailer, your character finds himself making a rather crucial decision – save one of your newfound allies from certain death, or take on a hated rival who's ripe for the picking-off. The decision is yours, but you may have to deal with the consequences that come from the other choice.

Here's the breakdown of the trailer, straight from the publisher:

"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today launched a new "Campaign That Never Forgets: Friend or Foe" bringing to life the videogame that never forgets, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Beginning with an interactive live-action film directed by Neil Huxley (Avatar, Watchmen) and shot by Director of Photography, Fabian Wagner (Game of Thrones), the "Campaign That Never Forgets" faithfully recreates the award-winning Nemesis System, driving viewers to make key story decisions during the siege of a fortress in Mordor. Those decisions then result in a personal relationship with a specific Orc as a loyal ally or vengeful enemy, which will extend beyond the interactive trailer and follow viewers across the internet, emulating the gameplay experience created by the Nemesis System. In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, players now have entirely new ways to journey through the dynamic world, with more choices and opportunities than ever before due to addition of Orc Followers. Whether spared, scarred, recruited or marked, every encounter will be remembered and help fuel the dynamics of society and conflict within Mordor, all brought to life through the expanded Nemesis System."

You can check out the trailer above and see how your choices affect those around you…but remember, nothing comes easy in this world.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War releases on October 10th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
