NBA 2K18 Gets Kobe Bryant And Kevin Garnett For Guest Commentary

2K Sports is no stranger to going all out with its NBA 2K franchise, bringing in some of the best talent to not only play in the game, but also commentate on it. And NBA 2K18 doesn't appear to be any exception.

The publisher has announced that it is bringing in former L.A. Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, along with 15-time All Star Kevin Garnett, to make appearances in NBA 2K18 as guest commentators.

This is no new practice to the company, as it previously brought in the likes of Chris Webber, Steve Smith and Brent Barry, among others, to talk alongside analysts Kevin Harlan and Greg Anthony to talk up basketball sessions. This year's game should definitely be shaken up with the presence of Bryant and Garnett.

And for those wondering what kind of commentary experience the two have, Garnett previously appeared on the weekly TNT show Area 21, as well as regular NBA broadcasts. Meanwhile, Bryant was on ABC's NBA broadcast team, and also appeared in the NBA 2K18 commercial featuring Shaquille O'Neal.

You can check out the two in action in the video above, and they really provide a great deal of analysis that will lend to the expertise of the game – like it really needed anymore, but, hey, we're sure Laker fans will certainly take more Bryant.

The video provides a great sample of Bryant and Garnett talking during the game. It's unknown just to what extent they'll be commentating, but their knowledge will certainly be welcome.

NBA 2K18 will release on September 19th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch, as well as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
