Street Fighter V has gotten some great characters, old and new alike, over the past couple of years, but this season has been more about revealing new faces to the franchise. And this week's forthcoming entrant is no exception.

Capcom has announced that, as part of the Hong Kong eSports Festival 2017, a new character will make her debut in Street Fighter V on August 29th. The charcter is named Menat, and she's a former fortune teller turned brawler, who's not so much about reading palms anymore as she is about breaking them.

You can check out the debut trailer above, and see just what Menat is made of!

Based on the quick gameplay video, Menat is a very agile character, capable of using not only quick kicks and strikes to attack her opponent, but also energy orbs and techniques, such as deflecting fireballs back at opponents, and even creating a shield that can help her recharge long enough to deliver a more powerful hit. She can also surround herself with smaller orbs and hit her opponent multiple times, when they're summoned just right.

You can download Menat on her own for a yet undisclosed price, or you can get her as part of the Season 2 pass for the game, alongside other fighters. She looks to be a keen addition, and we can't wait to see how she fares!

Street Fighter V is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC.
