Overwatch Emotes Get Reenacted By A Dorky Dad In Hilarious, Mortifying Fashion

One of the things that's helped make Overwatch such a well-loved hit are all the characters emotes, victory poses and other unique animations. They may seem like a small thing, but they add a crucial layer of personality to the game. And now, a thought experiment -- imagine if all those sassy Overwatch emotes were performed by your dad. You're cringing already, aren't you? Brace yourself for an epic dose of dadly dorkiness!

Comedian and YouTuber Nick Lucanio got his dead ol' dad to perform the emotes for most of Overwatch's characters, and the results are hilarious and just a tad horrifying. Highlights include him busting a move like Lucio, trying to juggle as poorly as Junkrat without laughing, getting down his knuckles to do Winston, and striking a sexy pose as Widowmaker. He also makes clever use of props, with a weed whacker standing in for Reinhardt's hammer, and an old Swiffer doubling as Mercy's wand. You have to give it to this guy – would you be able to find as many creative uses for the random stuff laying around your backyard? I sure wouldn't.

This isn't the first time Nick Lucanio's dad has engaged in this kind of silliness. This is actually a series of sorts, as he's previously reenacted Street Fighter II victory poses, Super Smash Bros. taunts, and Mortal Kombat Fatalities. This guy is certainly a good sport! This guy really seems to get into doing the monkeys. His Winston is good, but his Donkey Kong is even better.

You've gotta love how awkward it is every time he has to put on the sunglasses. There are, like, four Johnny Cage sunglasses Fatalities – you think he would have got better at it.
