Ahead of September’s free PlayStation Plus games, PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium subscribers have roughly 24 hours to download $155 worth of games for free. The highlight of August for PlayStation Plus subscribers was undoubtedlyย the two day-one gamesย that dropped, but these games were exclusive to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. If you only have a PS Plus Essential subscription, you only got three games last month. Tomorrow, on September 2, the opportunity to download these three games will expire.

More specifically, all PlayStation Plus subscribers, regardless of tier, have the following three games available to download for free until September 2: Lies of P, DayZ, and My Hero One’s Justice 2. The former costs $60 on the PlayStation Store, the middle of these three games costs $55, and the latter costs $40. Combined, this is $155 worth of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Once claimed, each game is free to keep perpetually, as long as an active PS Plus subscription is maintained.
Lies of P
Lies of P is the standout game in this trio of PS Plus games, and the only PS5 game at that. Developed and published by Neowiz, Lies of P is an action-RPG that wears its Bloodborne inspiration on its sleeve. It boasts a Metacritic score range of 80 to 85, and was notably nominated for Best RPG and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards the year of its release. A sequel is currently in active development.
DayZ
DayZ is a survival game that debuted back in 2013, via Steam Early Access, before releasing in 2018. Developed and published by Bohemia Interactive, it is estimated that DayZ has sold six to seven million copies to date, a substantial return considering its user reviews and critical reviews across the Internet are not the best.
My Hero’s One Justice 2
The least consequential game of the trio is probably My Hero One’s Justice 2, a fighting game from 2020 that served as a sequel to 2018’s My Hero One’s Justice. Developed by Byking and published by Bandai Namco, the fighting game did not earn positive reviews at launch, and it’s understood to have not sold that well either, which would explain why it did not get its own follow-up.
All of that said, and as always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think. Will you be claiming any of these free PS Plus games before they are gone tomorrow?
