Earlier in July, Pokemon Go frustrated many fans when it add Chinchou to its 10 KM egg pool. Chinchou is a relatively common Pokemon that doesn’t have any competitive upside, so fans were disappointed to see it taking up egg space that could go to a Pokemon like Dratini or Larvitar instead.

Well, it appears that Pokemon Go has quietly fixed this conundrum. Over the last few days, we’ve seen mass reports of players hatching Chinchou from 5 KM eggs. Chinchou didn’t originally hatch from 5 KM eggs, so it seems that Pokemon Go quietly made the change sometime this week.

This brings the 10 KM egg pool back to just 11 Pokemon species, the smallest egg pool in the game. Most of the other Pokemon in the 10 KM egg pool are considered to be some of the rarest basic Pokemon in the game…outside of the Legendary Pokemon, of course.
