Nintendo has released a new patch for Pokemon Sun and Moon that fixes several longstanding glitches. The new patch, which is required to participate in any online battle, was released late yesterday on the Nintendo eShop.

Here’s a list of what the new patch fixes:

– Fixes a glitch related to Pokemon not being able to attack and switch when the move Sky Drop is used

– Fixes a glitch in which Scatterbug sometimes doesn’t learn Egg Moves

– Fixes a glitch in which Pokemon Eggs could be given out as items instead of Pokemon

– Fixes a glitch in which Pokemon Sun and Moon crashes if a player uses an Evolution Item as the last item in their bag.

– Fixes a glitch in which players could manually change their Nintendo 3DS to the beginning of a new month to automatically complete all ongoing tasks in the Poke Pelago

– Fixes a glitch in which players get booted from an online tournament whne they’re pre-registered.

While the patch is largely a good thing, anyone who downloads the update will be unable to access their past Battle Videos.

A datamine of the new update did NOT discover any secret data, so there’s no reason to speculate this patch was released ahead of a Pokemon Stars rumor.
