Considering that Rockstar Games doesn’t miss the chance to celebrate it, it’s more than likely that we’ll see a bevy of new Independence Day related content in Grand Theft Auto Online when the holiday rolls around. (And we mean patriotic stuff, not the classic sci-fi movie nor its forgettable sequel.) And it appears some early image leaks have confirmed that’s just what we’ll be getting in a few days’ time.

A Twitter account by the name of FoxySnaps has posted a number of new images for what appears to be skinned weapons for use in the game, including a handgun, a mini machine gun and an assault rifle. The user’s Tweet reads, “In-Game #GTAOnline screens confirm #IndepdendenceDay MK2 Livery Price $100,000 (from @WildBrick142).” And it appears these weapons could play a part in the new gun-running expansion that just launched for the game last week.

We’ve included an attached gallery that showcase a lot of these weapons, and they all appear to be similar in design, with red, white and blue draped over each of the weapons. But when you get to the truck trailers featured in the sale, you’ll see images that include an Eagle against an American flag background (or black, if you prefer), as well as one that reads “Forever Fighting Freedom” with bullets and the flag on it. A number of others could be introduced once Rockstar Games confirms the actual event happening.

It doesn’t appear that these items will come cheap. According to the screenshots in the attached gallery, they’ll run anywhere between $100,000 and $200,000 for the truck trailers. The guns haven’t been priced yet, but they’re supposedly higher than the usual market value โ€“ which is understood. Fortunately, it’s easy enough to make scratch in the world of Grand Theft Auto Online that it shouldn’t be a problem snagging these if you really want them.

Rockstar Games hasn’t provided a comment yet, but with July 4th rapidly approaching, we’re likely to hear something soon. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to celebrate American style!

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as part of Grand Theft Auto V.
