We've seen Rocket League hit the retail front before, in limited capacity, but enough to make people excited about the game. But this holiday season, the game will get an even bigger retail push, with a little help from the folks at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The publisher has announced, in conjunction with Psyonix, that it will bring an "updated" version of the socCAR (well, soccer and racing) game to retail this holiday season, set to release across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. (There's no word on that Nintendo Switch version getting a retail release, despite the fact it's also coming in time for the holidays.)

Warner Bros. hasn't detailed what will be included in this port, nor how much it'll be priced at. But there's always a good chance we could see exclusive content that ties in with it, possibly through other WB titles. Yep, that means we could possibly get Injustice 2 skins for the game. (That's not official, though – at least, not yet.)

"Rocket League has such wide appeal across all audiences, it's no wonder the game is such a huge success," said Kevin Kebodeaux, Senior Vice President, Sales, Americas, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. "We're very excited to be working with Psyonix to bring the game to retailers across the globe."

"Warner Bros. has already proven to be a great partner," said Jeremy Dunham, Vice President, Publishing at Psyonix. "We first collaborated on Batman v Superman DLC for Rocket League in early 2016 and we have continued to be impressed with the team's knowledge, professionalism, reach and enthusiasm for video games. They are the ideal partner to help us push Rocket League to another level at retail."

This will no doubt be good news to those that haven't had a chance to play Psyonix's incredibly popular sports game yet, and will probably be able to get a number of its updates and DLC included in the same shot. We'll let you know once more details are available…and if we're getting that cool Injustice stuff or not.

Rocket League is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will release this holiday season for Nintendo Switch.
