PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) might be breaking records left and right for their playbase, but there's still a lot of ground to cover before the title leaves Early Access and is considered a fully polished videogame. With many changes, and additions, being made to the battle royale game, it shouldn't be surprising that a new map is on the way.

The latest area to be conquered by madmen wielding cooking pans is an expansive desert shown off in a few recently revealed screenshots. Though it's not an official reveal, it should be expected that any new maps added to the base game will be available in time for its console release on the Xbox One. Here are the screenshots leaked, courtesy of Resetera.

By now, many players are burnt out on the singular map available thus far. There are only so many times you can raid the same exact hospital over and over again. It's time for something new and the desert seems like the perfect place to start.

"PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8x8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4's capabilities."

The popular battle royale title by Bluehole Inc will be making its way over to the Xbox One platform on December 12th. The title, as of now, is still a work in progress and the team over at Bluehole have told their players to strap in because there are many more updates on the way!
