Well folks, E3 2017 is officially behind us, so now it’s time to get down to the important business of deciding who “won” the show. Which games attracted the most buzz and eyeballs? We already brought you a ranking of the most talked-about games on social media (Assassin’s Creed Origins topped that list), but YouTube views are arguably a more direct measure of which games were victorious at E3. As we know, social media has its idiosyncrasies – folks are going to talk about whatever’s easiest to hot take or joke about – but a person only clicks on a video if they’re genuinely interested. Well, YouTube has officially released their list of E3 2017 winners.

The most-watched E3 2017 trailer, with over 9 million views and counting, is Star Wars Battlefront II. In second place, and gaining fast, is Super Mario Odyssey, with 8.4 million. To determine their overall rankings, YouTube tracked all videos related to each game – mirrored trailers, gameplay footage, reactions, interviews, and so on. Adding it all up, here are the most-viewed games of E3 2017:

Videos by ComicBook.com

1) Star Wars Battlefront II

2) Assassin’s Creed Origins

3) FIFA 18

4) Call of Duty: World War II

5) God of War

6) Super Mario Odyssey

7) Spider-Man

8) Anthem

9) Need for Speed Payback

10) Dragon Ball Fighter Z

Of course, this list could still change. Super Mario Odyssey‘s trailer was released on Tuesday, while Star Wars Battlefront II got a head start, hitting three days earlier on Saturday. Still, based on my own observations covering E3 2017, this seems like a fairly accurate ranking. No doubt about it, Star Wars Battlefront II is going to be a big deal – could this be the year Call of Duty is finally upset in the war for first-person shooter supremacy? It’s going to be a hard-fought battle, that’s for sure.
