Disney unloaded quite a few gaming reveals during the Level Up! segment of its D23 Expo, some of which were expected and some that came as a surprise.

With a bit of a teaser on some upcoming products being shown off at E3 earlier in the year, players were hungry for more details about games that didn’t get included in the line-up such as the noticeably absent Kingdom Hearts III. Some of those cravings were satisfied this time around as players got more information on their most-wanted games.

Boasting a combination of web-slinging, lightsaber-wielding, and Keyblade-swinging content, here are some of the biggest reveals that D23 had to offer.

Kingdom Hearts III

From the beginning of the gaming segment today,ย Kingdom Hearts III was the game that many in the audience were most looking forward to, an anticipation made quite obvious by their constant cheers whenever the game was mentioned.

Whenย Kingdom Hearts IIIย didn’t make a splash at E3, fans were hopeful after Square Enix announced that a new trailer would be coming during D23, a trailer that showed off a new addition to theย Kingdomย Hearts roster by addingย Toy Story characters to the mix.ย

To check out the full trailer that was revealed that shows off the new additions and some mech-based combat, view the trailer and more details here.

Star Wars: Jedi Challenges

A surprise in the Disney line-up, it was revealed during the expo that an augmented reality experience based around the world ofย Star Wars is in the works, and they even had the headset and a trailer ready to roll.

Despite carrying the weight of being aย Star Wars game, the product wasn’t one that was expectedย and subsequently doesn’t have too many details out yet. What we do know about the augmented reality experience, though, is that it’ll be using a brand new headset that’s being made by Lucasfilm, Disney, and Lenovo. The headset works by downloading an app and sliding your phone into a slot in the device.

Star Wars Battlefront II

Star Wars Battlefront IIย was one of the most anticipated games that players wanted more details about during Disney’s big showing, and unlikeย Kingdom Hearts III, players can expect this game a bit sooner.

EA demonstrated a bit of what the upcomingย Star Warsย game would include during E3, and during D23, a bit more of the game was shown off with the help of some popularย Star Wars actors and actresses such asย Janina Gavankarย and even John Boyega.ย

Iden Versio, one of the members of the Inferno Squad played by Gavankar, had some story details announced. A full trailer for the game and more details were also released, all of which can be found here.

Spider-Man

Spider-Manย may be a Sony game that’s coming exclusively to PlayStation 4, but Disney’s still got some influence on the project, a game that got a new featuretteย during Disney’s expo that allowed some of the individuals working on the project to talk about the game.

A product coming from Insomniac Games,ย Spider-Manย had some more concept art revealed during the conference that showed Spideyย duking it out with one of his classic villains, The Kingpin. The big adversary is just one of the many villains that’ll be in the game, opponents that the game’s devs say will also force players to mix up their combat techniques in order to beat.

The concept art mentioned above, as well as plenty more information from the feature, can be seen here.

Marvel Powers United VR

Another game that wasn’t headlining the expo but was still a big reveal from Disney, the Oculusย virtual reality headset will be getting its first ever Marvel game soon, a game calledย Marvel Powers United VR.

Demonstrated through a trailer and with the help of popular YouTubersย and streamers such as Markiplier, the game will feature a roster of iconic Marvel characters such as Hulk and Rocket Raccoon. Only four characters have been announced thus far, but the plan is to have many more added to the list of fighters to choose on as players engage in co-op combat.
