The Walking Dead: March To War, a new mobile game brings iconic characters from The Walking Dead to a mobile platform, is now available to download.

Released on Thursday through both the Google Play store and the Apple App Store, the new mobile game from Disruptor Beam boasts graphics that'll remind players of the comics from Robert Kirkman and Skybound Entertainment. Throughout the game, players will have to navigate through a hazardous, zombie-infested Washington D.C. while mixing real-world landmarks and well-known locations from the world of The Walking Dead.

"Through the development of March To War, we've invented new ways to bring a level of graphic fidelity normally only seen in console games to mobile devices," said Jon Radoff, the founder and CEO of Disruptor Beam. "The Walking Dead: March To War is not just great-looking, it truly raises the bar on what's possible with visual storytelling in these types of games."

The core parts of the mobile game should be no surprise to any fan of The Walking Dead. Most importantly, players will be tasked with fighting off both walkers and other players through the multiplayer format. Building up your defenses and accumulating resources is essential to survival as well, but you won't always have to rely solely on yourself when it comes to surviving. Alliances can be formed with other players as well, but there's no guarantee those partnerships will hold up when things become dire.

While gathering characters from The Walking Dead to join their team, players will be able to recruit other survivors as well as they build up their forces. Difficult decisions related to the survival and progress of your team will have to be made, a feature that's again much like The Walking Dead's TV show and comics.

The Walking Dead: March To War is currently available for download on mobile devices through the Google Play store and Apple App Store, and the launch trailer for the new game can be seen above.
