The Xbox One X doesn’t have long before it’s launched for Xbox fans worldwide, an occasion that Microsoft is calling “the biggest global launch in Xbox history.” Plenty of up-and-coming Xbox One X owners likely already have their console preordered ahead of the release, a smart move considering how successful Microsoft expects the console to be on launch day. If you don’t already have yours preordered, you may end up having a hard time getting your hands on the upgraded console.
If you’re still planning on waiting a while before picking up the Xbox One X, or if you simply want to take part in Microsoft’s main launch event from your home, you can do so by tuning into the live event that’s being held in New York. Microsoft’s streaming service, Mixer, is the option that’s, of course, being pushed to use when watching the reveal, but you can still observe the Xbox festivities via Twitch, YouTube, or Facebook Live. The event will start at 8 p.m. PT on Nov. 6, the night before the console releases, and is expected to last around an hour.
For Xbox fans that happen to be in the New York area during that time, you can stop into the Microsoft Store on Fifth Avenue on Nov. 6 to test out the Xbox One X ahead of time. Even if you’re not planning on being there, you can likely expect to see some footage of the Xbox One X from players’ perspectives uploaded as the event goes on, gameplay that’ll hopefully give you something to help kill time while you wait in line in the cold for your Xbox One X.
The events don’t just stop in the U.S., though. Events in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom will also take place on Nov. 6 to rope in more Xbox One X buyers into the occasion.
The Xbox One X launches on Nov. 7 for $499, so make sure you’re prepared for the date.
