Hasbro Marvel Legends Star Fox and Champion 2-Pack Pre-Order Details

Marvel Legends collectors with a soft spot for classic Avengers will undoubtedly be thrilled to get their hands on this Star Fox (Eros) and Champion of the Universe (aka Tryco) 2-pack, which Hasbro first announced at SDCC but will drop in pre-order on October 2nd at 10am PT / 1pm ET. At that time, pre-orders are expected to be available here at Entertainment Earth and here on Amazon. UPDATE: The figure is live at EE priced at $57.99. It may or may not arrive in the Amazon link at some point today.

At the time of writing a price for the set isn’t available, but you can expect it to be in the $60 range as the recent X-Men Deathbird and Gladiator 2-pack and Gamerverse Punisher and Nick Fury 2-pack were both hovering around that price. Note it only includes a pair of extra hands for Star Fox and Champion (we would have liked to see an alternate head).

Is it worth the price? That’s hard to say for just about any collectible these days, but the answer will likely be “yes” for fans that have waited patiently for Starfox and The Champion. Both of these classic cosmic comic characters are appearing for the first time in the Marvel Legends lineup with this release. It will certainly be a must-have purchase for anyone looking to complete their ’80s Avengers collections.

Beyond that, these figures just look good. Despite not having an alternate angry head, the Champion figure is fantastic, and looks as big as the Strong Guy figure that Hasbro launched back in August.

As for Star Fox aka, Eros, the younger brother of Thanos, you can be thankful that it’s not based on The Eternals character portrayed by Harry Styles. No, this comics-inspired version captures his classic look and adventurous spirit.
