Marvel fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Tom Hiddleston's Loki, who is set to reappear on the big screen in November's Thor: Ragnarok. But some have already been mistaking Hiddleston for the star of another fall release - The Disaster Artist's James Franco.
Disaster Artist, which follows Tommy Wiseau's creation of the 'best worst film ever', The Room, unveiled its first trailer and teaser poster earlier today. And as some fans have pointed out, Franco - who plays Wiseau in the film - looks an awful lot like Hiddleston, particularly in his role as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Loki.
I can't be the only one to think that James Franco looks like he's cosplaying as Loki in that Disaster Artist poster...— ⚡Tryya ?Sinobu⚡ (@cosmosblue772) July 18, 2017

Some Reddit users genuinely thought the same, seeming to initially believe that the film's promotional material was a parody for Ragnarok or Avengers: Infinity War.
If you thought the same, don't feel bad. Plenty of comparisons - and memes - were made between Loki's appearance in Thor: The Dark World and the real-life Wiseau a few years back. Nevertheless, the new mix up between Franco and Hiddleston is pretty hilarious - and will hopefully introduce some unsuspecting fans into the crazy lore behind The Room.
You can find the description for Ragnarok below.
In Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!
Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi with a screenplay by Eric Pearson. The film stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett (Hela), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Karl Urban (Skurge), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Sam Neill, Ray Stevenson (Volstagg), Tadanobu Asano (Hogun), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Stephen Strange).
