Yesterday we got the news that Jude Law is playing Classic Marvel hero "Mar-Vell" in the Captain Marvel movie, and immediately had to reconcile with the fact that we'll be saying the world "Marvel" to a ludicrious degree, throughout Captain Marvel's production and release run.
Besides that hard fact, the prospect of Jude Law joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Mar-Vell has been pretty intriguing (if not unexpected), and to capture that fan excitement in an image, our friend BossLogic did this new piece of what Law could end up looking like as Mar-Vell:
That take is more of a classic inspired rendering of the character; Mar-Vell has also appeared in more of a soldier-like costume, consisting of silver armor over dark blue body suit, with greenish energy flowing out of it, and a signature Roman Legion-style helmet. We still don't know yet if Jude Law will be taking on the look above, or that armored look of a Kree soldier.
As we explained when first reporting the casting: "Law will be playing Dr. Walter Lawson, the human guise of Mar-Vell, the Kree hero who was the original Captain Marvel. Mar-Vell will be a mentor to Carol Danvers as she learns to harness her newfound superpowers."
Captain Marvel is expected to film next year and opens in theaters on March 8, 2019. For more BossLogic art, check out the gallery below!
