New Warriors has gone through an array of changes since it was first ordered to series this past April. The half-hour sitcom was set to air on Freeform (formerly ABC), who already have Marvel's Cloak and Dagger in their upcoming slate. At the time, Freeform executive vice president Karey Burke was optimistic about the show's success - and its potential for spinoffs.

“The characters they've chosen are all really singular and could each carry the show that they're on,” Burke explained back in April. “They're bound together as a band of underdogs for as long as we choose with this show, but it's conceptually tailor-made for spinoffs.”

In the months that followed, the series accumulated a writers' room, brought on their cast, and filmed their pilot episode in Atlanta. But last month, fans were disappointed to discover that Freeform wouldn't be picking up the series, and it would be finding a new home elsewhere.

With a pilot that reportedly did very well with test audiences, fans wondered where New Warriors would end up, whether it be on ABC or on Disney's upcoming streaming service. And while we still don't have an answer, this behind-the-scenes photo proves that the cast is continuing to work on New Warriors, meaning it could get a new home sooner than later.

You can read the official synopsis for New Warriors below.

“Marvel’s New Warriors” is about six young people with powers living and working together. With powers and abilities on the opposite end of the spectrum of The Avengers, the New Warriors want to make a difference in the world… Even if the world isn’t ready. Not quite super, not yet heroes, “Marvel’s New Warriors” is about that time in your life when you first enter adulthood and feel like you can do everything and nothing at once — except in this world, bad guys can be as terrifying as bad dates."
