Guardians Of The Galaxy's Chris Pratt Wants DC Films To Do One Thing

When it comes to comic book movies, there are plenty of people who swear by one of two studios: Marvel or DC. The rival companies have a long history of competition, and their battle has extended into the realm of movies. Over the years, fan wars between the studios' loyalists have grown more frequent as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow while the DC Extended Universe struggles to find its footing. Fans might even think that antagonism extends to the actors who star in these studios' projects, but that has not the case. Recently, Chris Pratt confessed he is a big fan of Warner Bros. take on DC Comics, but he does wish they would do one thing a bit differently.

In an interview with io9, Pratt told the site he was a fan of what Warner Bros. was doing. "I really like all the Warner Bros. movies," he said. "I think they're really cool and I'm not a real tough critic on those movies."

However, Pratt did saw he has noticed a consistent flaw within the DCEU. "One of the flaws might have been they were introducing too many characters in Suicide Squad. They spent 10 minutes telling us why should we care about these characters, rather than creating trilogies for each character and convincing us to care about the characters," he explained.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star then praised how the MCU gradually built up its roster over the last nine years.

"It's like hardwood," Pratt said. "They grew it really slowly so it's strong. They didn't create The Avengers first. They did Iron Man. And they tested it to make sure it worked. Then they did [Iron Man II] and [Iron Man III], then they did Cap, and then they did Thor. And they created a thirst for these characters, and that's when they put them in The Avengers."

"It's really f**king hard to do," he finished, "And it's kind of a miracle that anyone's got it right."
