2016 ComicBook.com Movie Awards Vote: Best Reimagined Character

In the world of reboots and reimagining, it's no surprise that there are more than enough comic book characters adapted to the big screen to nominate five portrayals from 2016 as the best new version.

The best reimagined character category is selected by the actor whose portrayal is most improved in terms of appearance and fan approval against previous incarnations. This year, some of the best super heroes to take the screen were reinvented, recast, and rebooted portrayals of fan-favorite characters.

For some, it was the third portrayal of the character in less than 15 years. For others, it was the same actor playing an extremely different (and more beloved) version of a witty mercenary. Others had gigantic clown shoes to step into with all eyes on them.
