Despite a geeky slate that includes Assassin's Creed, Wolverine 3, and the next Maze Runner film, 20th Century Fox will not be holding a panel at Hall H at Comic-Con International: San Diego this summer, according to a report by TheWrap. The studio has not made any formal or official announcement or comment on pulling out of the annual event that draws more than 130,000 fans of all stripes to southern California. The report cites an insider.

Fox apparently doesn't want to do a presentation there because of piracy and leaks of footage and trailers created exclusively for the Comic-Con audience. It's ironic for this particular studio, of course, as they just grossed $760 million on Deadpool, a movie that literally would not have been made if it wasn't for footage (albeit test footage, not Con footage) leaking on the internet. At the 2015 panel, they brought out nearly every cast member of X-Men: Apocalypse, premiering this May, and showed a trailer for that (and Deadpool) that did in fact leak out the following week.

With Wolverine 3 being Hugh Jackman's final go at the role, this would potentially mean Jackman's last possible Comic-Con as Wolverine would be a non-starter.

Marvel Studios skipped Hall H in 2015, though it was more because they had a presentation at Disney's own D23 Expo the following month. A Star Wars panel did hit Hall H, with a free concert immediately after. TheWrap's same source says Disney may not hold any Hall H panels at all this year - they'll have Star Wars Celebration Europe to handle just a week before, after all.

Sony Pictures and Paramount also both skipped Hall H in 2015. No official Hall H panels have been revealed yet for 2016.
