While there's a quite a bit going on in the latest Logan trailer, you might have noticed at one point that X-23 happens to have a fondness for X-Men comics, ironically much to Logan's chagrin.
What you might not know is who worked on that Uncanny X-Men comic, but a recent Facebook post puts that mystery to rest. Dan Panosian, who worked on a variety of X-Men books for Marvel through the years as an inker, posted a few photos of the issue from the newest Logan trailer. He said "So... A few of you know I really love the character Logan... Well, watch this trailer and check out the comic books he's holding... :) I feel really honored to be a part of this movie. Special thanks to Gabriel Hardman for suggesting me to the studio. I'm in your debt!"
Later fan-favorite artist Joe Quesada (Marvel Knights, Spider-Man) announced he penciled the pages that Panosian inked, saying "Okay guess I can talk about this now. My first pencilling gig in comics was drawing Spelljammer for DC. My first inker was Dan Panosian. Dan and I became great friends through that experience but we never had the opportunity to work together again until I received a call from Hugh Jackman with an incredibly generous offer to draw a cover and some comic pages for his upcoming movie Logan. What I didn't know was that Dan was working on the movie as well so he ended up inking my pages. Gotta love how life works out sometimes. If you don't blink you can see one of the pages in the trailer."

In addition to Uncanny X-Men, Panosian has worked on Captain America, Thor, Magneto, Alpha Flight, Iron Man, Witchblade, Cyberforce, Spawn, and Savage Dragon.
"In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces."
Logan stars Hugh Jackman (Logan), Boyd Holbrook (Donald Pierce), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Dafne Keen (Laura Kinney/X-23), Doris Morgado (Maria), Stephen Merchant (Caliban), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Gabriela), and Richard E. Grant (Dr. Zander Rice). James Mangold is directing and helped on the screenplay along with Scott Frank and Michael Green.
Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
