Avengers: Infinity War continues to accumulate a growing slate of characters, with plans to encompass as many characters from the decade of previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films as possible. With that promise, fans have wondered how exactly the long list of characters will actually join together, and what sort of surprising dynamic will occur.

And now, one of the film’s rumored cast members, Benedict Wong, has hinted at which fellow MCU hero he would like to share the screen with.

Wong, who appeared in the MCU’s most recent film, Doctor Strange, recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight. While he did not outright confirm whether or not he will appear in Infinity War, he did mention which of the costars he is most eager to work with.

“Well, you know, I mean, being a Spider-Man fan, I’d like Wong and the web-slinger. That’d be quite cool. I collected Spider-Man comics growing up as a kid.”

The worlds of Doctor Strange and Spider-Man have crossed over rather regularly in the past, including in the 1992 graphic novel Spider-Man/Doctor Strange: The Way to Dusty Death. After that, Strange actually appeared regularly in J. Michael Straczynski’s The Amazing Spider-Man series, before being banished into a time loop by his nemesis Baron Mordo. He’s made occasional appearances in the Spider-Verse since then, and a 2009 Spider-Man series even introduced a female version of Doctor Strange.

Wong went on to say that his childhood fascination with Spider-Man – and with the rest of the Marvel universe – play directly into his excitement with playing this role.

“I’m a big kid now, and to be sort of invited into a Marvel film and to be a real part of this, it’s been a real dream.”

Fans will just have to wait and see if Wong does make an appearance in Infinity War, and if he will end up sharing the screen with Peter Parker (Tom Holland).
