When it comes to Avengers: Infinity War, the massive film is already building hype like none of its other predecessors have managed. The massive blockbuster will bring together Earth's mightiest heroes as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Filming has already started on the project with stars like Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, and Robert Downey Jr. having already put hours into the feature. Now, Pratt is shedding more light on how involved the Guardians are in the movie, and the star does say the team will take a supporting role to the Avengers.
In an interview with Nerdist, Pratt was asked what differences there were in filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 versus Avengers: Infinity War. The actor said the main difference was in what kind of role the Guardians team plays in the movies.
"Guardians Vol. 2 is a Guardians movie. Infinity War is an Avengers movie," Pratt explained.
"We definitely will have a strong presence, but we are playing supporting cast - you know what I mean? We're there to help them tell an awesome Infinity War story. But Guardians is cosmic. It is its own special off-shoot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
In previous interviews, Pratt has said that Avengers: Infinity War will be the exact film fans have been waiting for.
"It's exactly what the fans want," Pratt tells the Toronto Sun. "I've heard over and over from people, 'When are the Guardians going to meet up with the Avengers?'
"I was never sure how that would happen or if that would happen, but then they announced it and called us and told us it was happening. We've shot most of it — my stuff — and I can tell you, the fans are not going to be disappointed. It's going to be really freaking cool."
