A new featurette focused on directors Joe and Anthony Russo for Captain America: Civil War was released online by Marvel Studios. The featurette talks to stars Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr., who reprise the roles of Captain America and Iron Man, respectively, as they explain what makes this film different.
"The Russos make human stories with a superhero feel," Evans said of his directing team, who also directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will go on to direct the two-part Avengers: Infinity War. Downey said that film was "a bit of a departure, and really tried to make its own mark, and they're trying to do that again."
The hope is for "every character to be both protagonists and antagonists," the Russos explain, making it possible for fans to truly choose which side of the fight they come down upon.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016.
