Deadpool Is The Best-Selling Romance Movie On Amazon

Deadpool has it all! Action! Adventure! Comedy! Romance?!

Since 20th Century Fox's R-rated superhero film was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD last month, it has been the top home video seller for three consecutive weeks. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Deadpool is currently the number two bestselling Blu-ray Disc on Amazon, sitting behind Zootopia, and number one in a couple of genres.

However, it is surprising that the raunchy and violent comic book movie has been categorized in the "Romance" department and is the top-selling Blu-ray in that category. To be fair, its competition — Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Purple Rain, The Danish Girl and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 — isn't exactly fierce.

It's also numero uno in "Action & Adventure" and the fourth best-selling "Comedy."

The film was directed by Tim Miller, based on a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The cast features Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Ed Skrein as Francis Freeman/Ajax, T. J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Peter Rasputin/Colossus.
