The new Logan trailer has finally debuted, and it makes the film look even more epic than before. X-23 finally showed her claws, Charles got more ominous than ever, and Wolverine took the fight straight to his enemies.

There’s one however, that had fans a little teary-eyed. One frame threw one question into all of our minds – Is this the death of Wolverine?
Towards the end of the trailer, when everyone is fighting in the woods, there’s a shot of Logan sitting against a fallen tree. X-23 stands beside him, holding his hand. Neither of their faces fan be seen, but it’s evident Logan is in bad shape.
The hero’s shirt is covered in blood, as are his hands, and his posture indicates he’s not the victor here. It’s also pretty clear that it’s his blood staining his clothes, not someone else’s.
Knowing that his eternal powers are dwindling, it’s logical to think that this could be the end of Wolverine. Combine that with the fact that this is supposed to be Hugh Jackman‘s last time playing the character, it’s likely that this scene could end in Logan’s death.
Fans of Wolverine and the X-Men don’t want to think about watching Hugh Jackman’s character die, but that would pack an emotional punch into a movie that already looks pretty intense.
No matter how this ends, Logan is going to be one hell of a ride.
