As the fourth season of Agents of SHIELD begins to wind down, we find members of the espionage organization we’ve come to know and love over the past several years trapped in a Matrix-like virtual reality called the Framework.

While in the Framework, really anything can happen. Things like waking up to find yourself buried in a mass grave, realizing you’re an agent for a terrorist organization, or coming back from the dead are common place. Since the Framework pod started, we’ve seen the reintroduction of Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) to the show and the show has even brought up the TAHITI Project, a story arc from the very first season. And the throwbacks don’t stop there.

Thanks to new stills released by ABC, we now know that Sunil Bakshi (Simon Kassianides) is returning to the show. Bakshi, who served as a Hydra agent under Daniel Whitehall’s reign in season two. When Ward began his ascent to the top of the Hydra ranks, it was a move that was the beginning of the end for Bakshi as the character was eventually killed by Jemma Simmons at the end of the season.

In the pictures released by ABC, it appears that Bakshi is serving a much different role while being in the Framework as he can be seen sitting at a desk outfitted in a plush suit complete with an ear piece. Perhaps he’ll be serving as an anchor for one of Hydra’s state-run TV stations or some sort of underground broadcast network for The Resistance.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
