Marvel Avengers Academy - Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy are going back to school, courtesy of a special event in Marvel Avengers Academy.

The event sees the Guardians crash landing just outside the galaxy gates. With Ronan and his Chitauri minions on the loose, there's no time to waste. The Guardian and the Avengers will have to team up to stop the Accuser's plans.

"We know that Ronan and the Chitauri are there, they're gathering up all this energy around Knowhere and bringing that back to space, but we don't really know exactly why right now," Allen Warner, Senior Narrative Designer at TinyCo, tells Marvel.com. "We do know that they're up to no good, of course, so it's important to stop them."

The Cosmic Conservatory is set to become another neighboring school in the world of Avengers Academy.

"There's the Hydra school, there's an A.I.M. Institute. This is just another school that's out there where another group of Marvel characters happens to go," Warner explained. "There [have] been a few mentions of it in the regular progression, and one of those name-dropped Carol Danvers as someone who attends, on top of a few more slight clues as to who else might be at that school. The school is a major part of this event, and figuring out what's going on there at this point in time is something we'll figure out as the event story moves forward, but it's always going to be a fixture of our version of this world and this universe. And we'll find out even more later about other institutions where other groups of characters are being trained, too."

Marvel Avengers Academy is available now in the App Store and Google Play.
