ABC decided not to pick up Agent Carter for a third season, but that hasn't stopped the show's fans from holding out hope for a possible show pick up somewhere else, like an Amazon or Netflix.

During an appearance at MegaCon, Actress Hayley Atwell, who plays Peggy Carter both on Agent Carter and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, was asked a few questions in regards to the show and its possible future.

One such question came early one when was asked if there was a theme or time she would like to explore between the end of Agent Carter season two and the beginning of Ant-Man, where the character pops up again alongside Howard Stark and Hank Pym.

She said: "Yeah, there was talk of season three going further back into the past, um, so the showrunners were talking about a possible kind of twist I suppose, into something to do with family." She also added: They suggested there would be more to do with my brother."

When the host mentioned he would have liked to see the gel between the SSR and S.H.I.E.L.D come together, Atwell responded with: "Yeah, the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D. obviously, yeah, I think we can save that for my own movie, that would be best", which got an enormous round of applause.

Later a fan asks Atwell about the online petitions for saving Agent Carter, and if she would be open to doing more of it if the show went to Netflix, which she eagerly responded to by saying: "Yeah, 100%. Absolutely. Yeah, I love Peggy, I love the people that are working on this project together, the fans are incredibly warm and welcoming and it would be an absolute privilege and an honor to bring her back for the fans."
