Marvel's Spider-Man is getting an injection of Descendants power when Sofia Carson takes on the Sandman.
You might be asking how that is even possible, as Sandman is one of Spider-Man's most powerful allies. Well, it turns out Sandman has only himself to thank for that, and you can watch an exclusive clip of Carson's new character in action in the video above.
Carson plays the role of Keemia, who turns out to be the daughter of Sandman, otherwise known as Flint Marko. That comes as a surprise to both Sandman and Spidey, but Keemia isn't exactly in the most talkative of moods. To be frank, you can't really blame her. It's not like Marko's been anyone's idea of an example parent, and if that wasn't enough of an issue, Marko accidentally causing her to turn into an entity of sand would be the thing to push her hate for him over the threshold.
Keemia has one thing on her mind, and that's getting revenge on her father. Hopefully, Spider-Man doesn't get himself killed trying to stop her.

Fans will know Carson from her multiple turns as Evie in Disney's Descendants series and movies. Evie is the daughter of the Evil Queen and wields her mother's magic mirror throughout the show. She operates alongside Carlos (son of Cruella De Vil), Mal (daughter of Maleficent), and Jay, the son of Jafar as they attempt to put their parents back in power by stealing the Fairy Godmother's magic wand.
It also turns out Carson is a big fan of the web-swinger. "Spider-Man was always my favorite," Carson told EW. "Peter Parker was just a regular boy next door. He saves countless lives out of the goodness that he has."
While she's fighting against her favorite hero this time around, it's still pretty fantastic to be sharing the screen with him.
Fans can catch Sofia Carson's appearance on Saturday, September 16 at 7:00 am est. The Sandman episode is the first of three episodes airing back to back.
