Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been on an extended break since the first of the month. This Tuesday, the Marvel Comics-based television series makes its triumphant return, and now, ABC has released the first clip from the upcoming “Deals With Our Devils” episode.

“Director Mace sends Agent Simmons on a secret assignment for the U.S. government,” reads the sneak peek’s description. “She is led into a quarantine tent where waits the husk of a human in mid-Terrigenesis. She is in awe when she learns that the subject has been gestating for seven months.”
S.H.I.E.L.D. MOURNS THE LOSS OF ITS TEAMMATES – With the loss of half the team, the remaining members search for answers as the clock counts down for Ghost Rider.
The regular cast features Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons and Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie.
