Arachnophobes, look away now! The director of Spider-Man: Homecoming recently shared a creepy, crawly photo of a cake brought onto set. And, so far, the Internet has found the cute pastry as hilarious as it is disturbing.

SPIDER-CAKE

Jon Watts uploaded the picture to Instagram along with the caption, "SPIDER-CAKE." Fans can see that the custom cake was already partially eaten by the time Jon could snap a photo of it, but everyone can clearly see its comic book aesthetic. The cake resembles the patterning on Spider-Man's webbed suit, and there's even a massive sugar spider sitting in the center of it.

Of course, bringing cake to work is an easy way to get your coworkers hyped for a long grind. Fans are speculating the cake was baked to uplift morale as Spider-Man: Homecoming wraps up production in Atlanta. The film began shooting at Pinewood Studios at the beginning of summer and will be done filming before Avengers: Infinity War starts shooting in November. With little time left, it's no surprise that Spider-Cake came in to save the day.

Of course, this isn't the first social media share that's come from the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The cast and crew have been eager to update fans on the project, and no one has been more enthusiastic than Jon Watts. The director recently shared a video of Tom Holland breakdancing on set and even challenged the Russo Brothers to an impromptu dance-off. And, when the film began production, Jon shared a shadowy behind-the-scenes video of Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) on set.

The starring actor has also been active on social media these last few months. From selfies to videos, the British native has shared all sorts of sneak peeks of himself while on set.

Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man following his cameo in Captain America: Civil War. Marisa Tomei will reprise her role as Aunt May from the film as well while others such as Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, and Tony Revolori are starring amongst others. The film, which is filming in Atlanta, has fans excited as Sony is partnering with Marvel Studios to bring the loveable vigilante back to big screens.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated for release on July 7, 2017.
