It's finally here. After months of waiting, Spider-Man fans have gotten their first taste of superhero spectacle a la Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. The two studios teamed up to bring Peter Parker back to the big screen, and they debuted the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The exciting footage featured plenty of hilarious run-ins between Peter Parker and his group of friends. And, even more exciting, fans were treated with a special shot of Tony Stark suiting up as Iron Man and rushing off with Spider-Man across New York City's skyline.

So far, there's no word on why Tony Stark is suited up in his armored Iron Man get-up, but fans have a few guesses. Homecoming is said to have several villains, and tonight's trailer proved that Michael Keaton's Vulture is not a baddie to be trifled with. A few conversations between Tony and Peter during the trailer prove that the elder is still weary about the teenager's vigilante work, so it is not surprising to see him tag-team with Peter against his newfound foes.

There's also a lovely scene towards the trailer's beginning which features a few other familiar faces from the Avengers - but don't get excited; It's not what you think. Peter kicks off his superhero duties at the trailer's start by busting some bank robbers who wear the masks of heroes like the Hulk, Thor, and Iron Man. Don't worry; Peter Parker sees right through it. According to the teenage superhero, it's the guy wearing the Hulk masks who totally gives it away.
