When Doctor Strange is released next month, moviegoers will witness Benedict Cumberbatch performing plenty of mind-bending magic, but all of it will be computer-generated.

However, in this new video Vanity Fair posted, the Sherlock star proves he doesn't need any digital assistance to pull off his own gravity-defying magic trick. Though, he did receive pointers from Kevin James, an award-winning magician who is part of The Illusionists.

While Cumberbatch explains why water is such a special resource and water conversation is very important, he keeps water from spilling out of an open bottle—even when turned upside-down. To make the trick look even more impressive, he takes a straw and sticks it up inside of the upside-down bottle, and still, the water doesn't come pouring out of the plastic container.
