X-Force Movie Will Feature Deadpool And Cable

If you are one of the millions anxiously awaiting news about Cable's casting for the next Deadpool film, then you're interest is about to ramp even higher. The iconic Marvel character is being scouted high-and-low by 20th Century Fox, but the studio is taking its time to pull out any contracts. So far, fans have heard rumors about which actors may be tapped for the role, but now they have learned why the studio is being so careful with its casting.
In the larger X-Men Cinematic Universe, there are big plans awaiting Cable. So, of course, getting casting down right is imperative. In a recent interview with Deadline, one of X-Men's most notable producers opened up about Cable's place in the franchise. And, now, fans have confirmation that both Cable and Deadpool will star in 20th Century Fox's X-Force film.
"We are working hard on New Mutants, Gambit with Channing Tatum, Deadpool 2 and the new X Force movie where Deadpool is alongside Cable and other main characters," Kinberg confirmed.
Later on, the producer also said this about the much-anticipated film. "Then X Force which is a combination of Deadpool, and Cable –they're like the Black ops of the X-Men. They're much darker and have an R-rated decibel. There are other X-Men characters coming into X-Force at different times in the comic, but it's separate from X-Men."
Aside from Kinberg's notes, there is little information out regarding the X-Force title. Last month, one important details about the film was reportedly dropped. ComicBook as well as several other sources like Collider learned that Joe Carnahan was tapped to direct X-Force. The news also suggested Ryan Reynolds was being brought on to co-write the film's script, but 20th Century Fox has yet to make an official announcement about the reports.
Right now, Reynolds is getting ready for work outside of the X-Force project as the sequel for Deadpool still needs to be filmed. The actor has been preparing for production to kick off on the project.
