At long last, the summer blockbuster season is upon us! After a few down months, the box office came roaring back with Avengers: Endgame in April and will be moving forward full steam ahead with a packed slate of moves through the month of May.
Luckily for cinephiles, there are at least three wide releases each week the month of May and for fans in larger markets, there are dozens of limited releases scattered throughout the month. Genre-wise, Detective Pikachu will look to get things off on the right foot May 10th. After that, the third John Wick film screeches into theaters May 17th only to be followed by Aladdin and Brightburn on May 24th. And what better way to end the month than by celebrating with the King himself? Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters May 31st.
