With the much-anticipated film one step closer to becoming a reality, many have wondered who will inhabit the roles of Corbin Quinn and Danny Reilly. While casting decisions are not expected anytime soon, Millar took to Twitter to reveal his personal choices to star in the film – Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth.
In a series of tweets, Millar explained how closely those actors are tied to Chrononauts‘ origins, as the series was initially conceived as a vehicle for the two stars. While Millar is unsure if Pratt and Hemsworth would be willing to take on the roles, he certainly seems to be hoping for it to happen.
Re Chrononauts casting – Back before it was a comic my pal at Universal asked me if I could come up with something for Pratt & Hemsworth.

This was super-exciting as I love them both & had a short film idea I adapted into Chrononauts. Sean even referenced them in #4’s finale ๐

But this was a couple of years back and my VP pal has since moved on. No casting on the cards until a script is done and dusted.

Both Hemsworth and Pratt are set to reprise their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles in the near future, with Pratt playing Peter Quill/Star-Lord in next month’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Hemsworth playing the title role in November’s Thor: Ragnarok.
Given the comedic timing of both Hemsworth and Pratt – seen in past properties such as Ghostbusters and Parks and Recreation, respectively – as well as the fact that they will share the screen in Avengers: Infinity War, it’s safe to assume that Millar isn’t the only one who wants to see the duo in Chrononauts.
