Everything Coming to Disney+ in October 2021

October is almost here! The leaves are starting to change colors, the air is getting cooler, and bulk candy is starting to fill the aisles at the supermarket. In addition to all of the fun fall traditions that greet us each and every October, Disney+ has a full slate of new movies and TV planned for the entire month. From October 1st through Halloween, there will be plenty of new titles making their way to Disney+ for subscribers to enjoy.

The biggest new arrival of the month actually comes to Disney+ in the first week, as Marvel’s Black Widow is finally being made available to stream for free on the service. Black Widow was released on Disney+ when it hit theaters earlier this month, but it cost subscribers an extra $30 to buy it through Premier Access. On October 6th, the film will be available for free as part of the subscription.

Disney+ has a couple of spooky specials set to debut ahead of Halloween this year. LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales arrives on the streaming service on October 1st, followed by Muppets Haunted Mansion on October 8th.

After the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé.Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.
