The trade is pegging the Fate Of The Furious for a haul between $375 million and $440 million. If it makes over $397 million, it will be the highest grossing opening weekend in the franchise, beating the previous entry in the series Furious 7 when it opened in 2015.

That film itself cemented the franchise as a global money-making machine, taking the Fast & Furious films into the billion dollar territory. Deadline reports that the Fate Of The Furious will push the total series haul past $4 billion total.
