However, the 2018 sequel to Jurassic World, won’t be such a walk in the park.

At the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 junket, media outlets were able to speak with the film’s stars about their current and future ventures. When Screen Rant asked Chris Pratt about the upcoming Jurassic World film, he didn’t hesitate to reveal that it will be a much scarier affair.

Aw man, J.A. Bayona? Do you know that filmmaker? He’s a remarkable filmmaker. If you haven’t seen The Impossible or A Monster Calls, I mean he’s really visually masterful. Deep emotions and suspense. I think it’s going to be a scarier version. A little bit darker and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn’t have imagined.

This makes it sound like the Jurassic franchise is getting back to it’s roots. While the original Jurassic Park film was a summer blockbuster, it was also a bit of a horror flick. The movie wasn’t scared to push the boundaries, and director J.A. Bayona isn’t either.
