To celebrate the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky -- which happens to be the state Eggsy and Merlin travel to in the upcoming sequel -- 20th Century Fox has released a new television spot for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and it contains tons of fresh footage.
It begins with Merlin saying to Eggsy, "Whatever is in that safe is the answer to all of our problems." After opening it, he is perplexed to only find a bottle of Statesman whiskey.
Eggsy remarks with astonishment, "Is that it?!"
They pour themselves some whiskey, sample the goods, and come to the conclusion that they need to head to Kentucky for seek help from the Kingsman's American counterparts.
While snooping around the Stateman facility, they are greeted by a shotgun-wielding, denim-clad Tequila (Channing Tatum). "Welcome to the Statesman ... Independent Agency," he says with a southern twang.
Kingsman: The Secret Service introduced the world to Kingsman - an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents' strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that's becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy...
