Power Rangers opens up in China this weekend, but some have already started thinking about the potential for a sequel. That includes superfan Trey Stevens, who already wrote a script for it.
The 96-page script is titled Power Rangers 2: The Return Of The Emperor and takes place roughly a year after the events of the first movie. Tommy is already ingratiated with the other Rangers, and a big part of the film deals with how he becomes the Green Ranger. Much to fans delight, Lord Zedd is the primary villain this time around, though Rita Repulsa still plays a big part in the film. In fact, there's plenty to love here, as the script features even more of the history between Zordon and Rita, as well as how the original Rangers were formed and what drove Zordon apart from his friend Lord Paragon. It also includes an even bigger fight sequence, which of course features the Dragonzord. It also features Serpentera, which means Serpent Dragonzord vs Megazord action, and Rito Revolto even makes his way into the plot.
Aside from some typos and polish, this is a great foundation for a sequel. If the next movie is anything like this, fans would indeed be quite delighted. You can read the full script here.
