Universal’s incredibly successful Fast & Furious franchise is roaring back into theaters with the eight installment The Fate of the Furious, which puts this close-knit family at odds with their patriarch and leader Dom Turretto. While the film will deal with the hows and why of his change in character, the cast is still quite close behind the scenes, and that is more than evident in the new B-roll footage the studio just released.

The first piece of footage can be viewed above, which centers on the filming that took place in Cuba. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and director F. Gary Gray are center stage here, filming a few scenes in the city commons. It also shows what looks like the first meeting between Diesel and Charlize Theron, who plays the villainous Cipher.
The second B-roll set features more of the extended family, including The Rock, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Tyrese Gibson, and Kurt Russell, including their stint in Iceland. The third set gives fans a closer look at all the vehicular carnage caused on set. Hit the next slide to see all of the footage. The Fate of the Furious currently holds a 3.59 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings.

It was an intense experience, to say the least. I only hope that the audience enjoys the journey despite the dark road ahead.”
