The Croods: A New Age remains atop the box office as the film crosses the $50 million mark this weekend. The Croods 2, with $1.7 million for the weekend, beats HBO Max co-releases The Little Things ($1.2 million), Judas and the Black Messiah ($905,000), and Wonder Woman 1984 ($805,000). The Croods: A New Age is the sequel to 2013’s The Croods, bringing back most of the original voice cast along with newcomers Peter Dinklage, Leslie Mann, and Kelly Marie Tran.

Down the chart, Liam Neeson’s The Marksman lands in fifth place with $775,000. Monster Hunter, an adaptation of the popular video game series of the same name, remains in sixth place, while Academy Awards hopeful Nomadland, from Eternals director Chloรฉ Zhao, is in seventh place. Robin Wright’s indie flick Land is in the eighth place spot, Tom Hanks’ News of the World finds itself in ninth, and pandemic mainstay The War With Grandpa hangs onto its spot in the top 10 in its 20th weekend.
