In response to anonymous sources that claimed earlier this week that Jeremy Renner had alienated himself from Marvel Studios and that Hawkeye would likely be recast before we ever saw the character onscreen again, Perez Hilton now claims that he's hearing from his own anonymous sources that none of that is true. "Our sources tell us that the recasting rumors are completely untrue and that he will indeed return to the silver screen as Hawkeye!...And, though it had been reported that some comments Jeremy made pissed off the execs over at Marvel, we're told he's still 'very much a part of the Marvel family,'" Hilton reported. "Not only that, but it sounds like we can expect to see Renner in the upcoming installments!!" Wait a minute--Perez Hilton debunking a scintillating rumor? Black is white! Up is down! Dogs and cats, living together--mass hysteria! That said, it is worth noting that nothing in the original Comic Book Movie report said that Renner would absolutely be recast, only that it was as likely as not--and they never said that he wouldn't return to reprise the role, only that at present none of the Marvel Phase II films featured the character. All of that could remain true and Hilton's story could still be accurate.
