The newest teaser image released for a Marvel NOW! series is one of the more difficult yet to suss out the meaning of. Featuring only the creative team of Jason Aaron and Simone Bianchi with purple letters that say "birth," the teaser hasn't got the same kind of broad consensus so far among fans online as to what it might be that the others have had. Most of the notable Marvel characters who are identified with the color purple are villains, though, and that has led to some speculation that the series could be a look at the creation and early years of a character like Thanos, Galactus or Magneto (although Magneto is a long shot, having already had his day in the sun with an origin series). Maybe Gambit or Onslaught? None of these seem too likely. My money's on Barney the Dinosaur: Year One. Thanos is arguably the most obvious choice, given that there was already a Thanos origin miniseries scheduled and then scrapped, with the creative team involved being handed Morbius to launch for Marvel NOW! instead.
