X-Men Days Of Future Past Quicksilver

One of the biggest controversies to hit the comic book movie world in recent memory is that Quicksilver will be appearing in both The Avengers 2 and X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but it apparently won't be the same Quicksilver. In a quirk in Marvel's contract with 20th Century Fox, both Marvel Studios and Fox have the rights to put Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in their movies. Director Joss Whedon struck first by announcing that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch would play a key role in The Avengers 2, but director Bryan Singer will actually get his version of Quicksilver to the big screen first. X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be released on May 23, 2014, while The Avengers 2 isn't rolling out until May 1, 2015. Singer has also already cast Evan Peters in the Quicksilver role for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, while Joss Whedon is still looking for his Quicksilver actor. Earlier today, Bryan Singer tweeted out the Quicksilver teaser photo above, along with the text, "House call." While the photo doesn't actually show Quicksilver, it does show a mailbox with the last name Maximoff on it. In the comic books, Quicksilver's real name is Pietro Maximoff. The fact that X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be paying a visit to the Maximoff's household also raises the question of if Peter's sister Wanda (better known as the Scarlet Witch) might also appear in the movie.
