Sphero Adds BB-9E And R2-D2 To Their Droid Lineup

Sphero’s remote-controlled BB-8 droid was the must-have holiday toy when it first released to tie in with The Force Awakens. Thanks to a steady stream of updates, it’s still is among the best Star Wars toys on the market, and now we’ve learned that the lovable droid is getting some friends.

As part of their Force Friday II festivities, BoxLunch has revealed that Sphero is adding two new droids to their remote-controlled droid lineup. You’ll recognize R2-D2 of course, but the First Order droid BB-9E is a newcomer that will debut in The Last Jedi.
