Star Wars: Princess Leia Empire Strikes Back Figure Announced By Hot Toys

The Star Wars community lost an amazing woman in Carrie Fisher earlier this year, and Hot Toys has designed an outstanding new figure to celebrate her work in the franchise's best film, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back.

The new figure depicts Fisher's Princess Leia in her white Hoth garb and features a wonderfully accurate likeness to the actress. The figure comes with all the articulation that Hot Toys is known for, and all of the clothing items are made from real fabrics. She'll also include a blaster, interchangeable hands, a welding torch, and more. Princess Leia will ship out sometime between Quarter 4 of 2017 and Quarter 1 of 2018.

Today, in celebrating Star Wars Day, Hot Toys is proud to officially present the Princess Leia 1/6th scale collectible figure from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back!

The highly-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the appearance of Princess Leia in the film. Featuring a newly developed head sculpt with stunning likeness, sophisticated tailoring of Leia's outfit as seen in the battle of Hoth, an assortment of weapon and accessories, and a specially designed snow-theme figure stand, this collectible captures all of the details of the great Rebel leader.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017, release. The film follows-up and continues the story of the next generation of the saga as Rey, Poe, Finn, and Kylo Ren find their place in the galaxy and follow the legacy of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is slated for release on December 15, 2017. Han Solo: A Star Wars Story hits on May 25, 2018, while Star Wars: Episode IX has a release date of May 24, 2019.
